Koh Yao Yai is an island situated in Phang Nga Bay, between Phuket and Krabi, in southern Thailand.Catch a speedboat to Koh Yao Yai (25 minutes from Phuket & Krabi)

The best time to visit is from November to April, when the weather is dry and sunny, ideal for beach activities and exploring.

Markets & Convenience Stores: Small supermarkets like 7-Eleven and local minimarts for snacks and essentials. Medical Clinics & Pharmacy: Small clinics and pharmacies available, but major medical needs require travel to Phuket or Krabi.

Limited ATMs: A few available in central areas, but cash is recommended as many small businesses do not accept credit cards.

Tickets can be purchased at the pier. The price of a ticket is 400 baht per person.

Motor cycles are available for rent and are the best way to explore the island, Te average price is 350 baht per day. Passport required for identification purposes.

Koh Yao Yai a peaceful island suitable for families looking for a quiet getaway, with shallow beaches and calm waters.  This is not an island for night-life and parties.

Koh Yao Yai is larger and less developed than Koh Yao Noi, making it ideal for those seeking a quieter and more remote escape.
