Island Flavours
The Funky Monkey is the restaurant at the front of Yao Bada Badoo on Koh Yao Yai, with indoor and outdoor tables and a view across Phang Nga Bay to the limestone islands.
Our kitchen cooks Thai food with local seafood, fresh herbs and coconut milk, alongside grills, pasta, burgers and light bites for days when you want something familiar.
Every Thai dish is cooked to your taste: no chilli, a little, medium or Thai style. If you do not say, we add a little.
From Our Kitchen
A few of the dishes our guests come back for, from Thai street-food favourites to fresh fish from the Andaman Sea.
Rice & Noodles
Stir-fried rice noodles with beansprouts, tofu and crushed peanuts, finished with fresh shrimp.
Thai Soup
A creamy coconut chicken soup with mushrooms, galangal, lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves.
Starter
Green papaya, carrot, tomato, peanuts and chilli in a tangy dressing. Tell us how spicy you like it.
From the Sea
Grilled and served with teriyaki or lime chilli sauce, with vegetables or salad.
Breakfast
Two eggs your way, a fresh chopped salad, seasonal fruit, toast, Illy coffee or tea and a glass of juice.
The Bar
Fresh fruit shakes, juices, Illy coffee and cocktails, from an espresso martini to a sunset mojito on the terrace.
