Koh Yao Yai lies in Phang Nga Bay, between Phuket and Krabi. Speedboats run from several piers on both sides, and our team will advise the best option for your arrival time.
Fly into Phuket or Krabi, transfer to the pier and take a speedboat to Koh Yao Yai, where we collect you. Our team is happy to arrange your transfers. The last boats leave in the late afternoon, so please check times with us before booking flights.
The resort is not directly beachfront. The nearest beach is a few minutes’ walk away, and the island’s other beaches are easily reached by scooter or with our driver.
November to April is the dry season, with calm seas and sunshine. May to October is the green season: quieter and lush, with occasional tropical showers.
Most guests explore by scooter, which we can arrange at reception. Our resort driver is also available for island trips and pier transfers.
Yes. There are ATMs on the island, including one within a short walk of the resort.
Yao Bada Badoo welcomes guests aged 14 and over. Families travelling with teenagers aged 14+ are welcome, and our four-bedroom villas are especially well suited to larger groups travelling together.
Koh Yao Yai is the larger and quieter of the two islands, with fewer resorts and more traditional village life. Koh Yao Noi is smaller, with a more established tourist scene.
