We stayed at this hotel for 4 days and really loved it. The place is beautiful, very green, with a lovely mountain view. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious. There are also two nice swimming pools and great massage. The island is just about 30 minutes from Phuket — a perfect place to relax and unwind. Would love to come back again 💚🌿

+12Das Yao Bada Badoo ist ein sehr gutes Hotel mit allem Komfort den man sich vorstellen kann. Die luxuriösen Zimmer haben direkten Zugang zum Pool mit Liegen. Das Frühstück ist gut und war bei uns inkludiert. Man kann zwischen verschiedenen Eiergerichten, Kaffees, Tee (heiß oder kalt), Säften auswählen und frische Früchte, Brot, Butter, Marmelade, Gurkensalat und Joghurt gibt es auch noch dazu. Im dazugehörigen Restaurant „Funky Monkey“ kann man auch gut Abendessen. Das Personal ist durchweg super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Koya von der Rezeption organisiert alles was man haben möchte (Massagen vor Ort, Taxis, Ausflüge, Wäscheservice, Fähre, Mopeds …) Damit ich die 500m nicht zu Fuß zum Geldautomaten gehen musste, hat sie mich auf ihrem Moped mitgenommen und auch einen vergessenen Gegenstand im Zimmer zum Pier gebracht. Vielen Dank! Zur Lage: Das Hotel hat keinen eigenen, direkten Strandzugang. Aber man kann fußläufig in wenigen Minuten Strandabschnitte erreichen an denen man bei Flut baden kann oder am besten mit Leihmoped die vielen wunderschönen Strände der Insel anfahren. Auch der sehr nette Fahrer des Hotels macht Taxiservice wenn man nicht Moped fahren will. Vom Café Restaurant hat man einen herrlichen Ausblick auf das Meer und die Phang Ngha Bucht oder schaut dabei zu wer auf der Straße vorbeifährt. Die Zimmer sind jedoch nicht zur Straße hin ausgerichtet und völlig ruhig. Zur Stromabschaltung: Diese war auf der ganzen Insel und vom Hotel angekündigt. Dafür trägt das Hotel keine Verantwortung. Es wurden für das Bad Wasserflaschen zur Verfügung gestellt und im Café gab es trotzdem (kalte) Speisen und Früchte. Zum Preis-Leistungsverhältnis: Der Preis liegt gemessen an dem was man bekommt im internationalen Vergleich. Warum sollte das Hotel für diesen Luxus und diesen Service weniger verlangen als in Europa, Australien oder Amerika? Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen und können das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen.

ירח דבש,חוויה מאכזבת מאוד . הזמנו את המלון יומיים לפני, נתחיל בזה שהיו אמורים לקבל אותנו במזח בירידה מהספיידבואוט והנהג של המלון איחר כמעט ברבע שעה ההינו האחרונים להשאר במזח . אחרי שהגענו למלון לבצע צ'ק אין פתאום נאמר לנו ככה על הדרך, כי יום למחרת מ9 בבוקר עד 17 בערב לא יהיה חשמל מיזוג, ומים במלון, שאפילו דבר בסיסי כמו להוריד מים באסלה לא יהיה ניתן ובחדר חלון אחד שנפתח ובלי מיזוג תדמיינו לבד את המצב... כמובן שאנחנו בירח דבש ולא הגיוני בכלל שלא הודיעו לנו מראש על דבר כזה. בבריכה עצמה כל הזמן עבדו פועלים כשאתה משתזף , לא אינטמי ולא נעים בכלל , נזרקו חפצים של הפועלים לבריכה. מאחורי החדר שלנו היה דיר חזירים וננדף ריח וקולות לא נעימים. ארוחת בוקר דלילה של המסעדה ליד. זרם מים מקלחת בעיתי אין זרם קבוע ואין שליטה על חם/קר . מיקום רחוק מהחוף צריך להיות תלוי באופנוע או הסעה בתוספת תשלום. לא שווה את התמורה לכסף ששולם כאן לצערי אחרי שיחה של חצי יום עם אגודה שהיו שירותיים מאד ובעזרת בעלת המקום בוטלו שאר הימים.
A very warm recommendation for a hotel that is among the best in Thailand. Everything here is meticulously detailed. The sheets are of the highest quality, the pillows are top-grade, the mattresses are outstanding, and the soaps and shampoos are premium. The design is absolutely stunning, stunning, stunning! The landscaping is professional, carefully maintained, and surrounds you everywhere, in every corner. The food is made with high-quality, fresh ingredients, including soups prepared with fresh coconut milk. Everything is delicious, and the chef is open to special requests. In short — top of the top. The property manager, Shai, is kind, pleasant, courteous, and patient, manages everything with a firm hand, and helped us with everything we needed. The staff is amazing and assists with anything possible. I almost never write reviews. I have been working in the hospitality industry for 30 years, in consulting and evaluations, but this time I encountered a truly perfect place. Many hotels could come and learn from this property — design, hospitality, cleanliness, organization, and order.

For a hotel charging over $300 USD per night (more than 10,000 THB), the experience was extremely disappointing. The hotel provides only one key/keycard, which is required to power the electricity and air conditioning in the room. This means every time you leave the room, all power and the AC shut off. As a result, whenever you return, the room is hot and uncomfortable, and you are forced to wait for it to cool down again. This is annoying, inconvenient, and completely unacceptable at this price point. To make matters worse, the air conditioning is restricted and cannot be set below 19°C, which further limits comfort—especially in a hot climate. When I requested a second key or an additional electric card, I was told no, as the hotel claims they are only allowed to issue one. That response is unacceptable for a luxury-priced hotel. At this level of pricing, guests should not be dealing with basic comfort issues or being denied a simple request like an extra key. This policy significantly takes away from the overall experience and does not match what one would expect from a hotel in this price range.
Schön - aber zu teuer für das, was man bekommt ☺ Das Zimmer war groß & geräumig. Riesiges Badezimmer. Es war sauber. Großer schöner Pool. ☹ Lage an der Straße. Somit laut beim Frühstück. Frühstück war nicht gut, keine Abwechslung. Toastbrot, Eier, 1 Portion Obst & Joghurt mit Zucker. Alles war rationiert, wenn man mehr oder was anderes wollte, hätte man zahlen müssen. Es wurden keine neuen Handtücher gebracht. Preis-Leistung stimmt nicht.
A beautiful little boutique hotel with everything needed. There are 2 nice pools, a nice restaurant and an excellent massage studio. Our room was good and had everything we needed. The food in the restaurant is very good👍🏽 The staff is also very friendly and kind. We stayed there for 5 nights, and we would go again.

THE place to stay for a luxury getaway. Comprised of two beautiful villas, each hosts several rooms that provide sufficient privacy yet allow pleasant interactions with other guests in the common areas and the beautiful pool. The place is exquisitely designed and our room were spacious and comfortable, not to mention a ridiculously large bathroom and tub. The staff is extremely friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Loved celebrating our honeymoon here. We enjoyed a cold beer with other travellers who happened on the place while walking down the road. Overall, a high-end yet cozy place that quickly feels like home.

The bathroom is massive! The rooms are spacious, but slightly worn. The bedding is clean and comfortable. There's not a lot going on on this island, so the fact that there are two spots, to hang out, next door makes it okay. Beach access and view would've been optimal.

The staff is incredible, they truly made our experience special on this beautiful island. Koya the attendant who checked us in was so helpful and considerate throughout our entire stay, as well as Corinne who was also amazing. We had a little motorbike incident which required a trip to the emergency room and both ladies helped bring us there as well as translate, and Koya even had to help the doctor! Amazing, amazing people. Corinne also drove us back each day after to help us understand what was going on and get treatment. This island was exactly what we were looking for as an escape from the craziness of this Phuket and Bangkok. As a side note, after the injury my wife could not walk down the stairs to the restaurant and the staff delivered all our meals to the dining area outside our rooms every day. Every person that works there was so kind and thoughtful. Thank you for helping make our honeymoon exactly what we wanted despite our difficult situation, it was still a wonderful experience.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary here. The welcome in the room was amazing. The staff was nice, friendly and always helpful. The rooms were very spacious, clean. Very quiet place, like the whole island, which we fell in love with.
Yao Bada Ba yess!!! ☺ Yao Bada Badoo is a fantastic haven of comfort and luxury. I stayed in room D2 which was exceptionally clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated. I particularly loved the wooden furniture and the wood floors. The floor to ceiling windows wrap around the room and open onto one of the 2 magnificent pools. The pool itself is designed with top quality tiles, which adds lots of visual appeal. The bathroom design was stylish and and had a luxury feel with a lot of attention to detail. I liked it. It is well located, close to bars, restaurant, convenience stores and if you rent a scooter then Laem Had beach is 7 minutes ride away. A bliss! The staff is well trained, responsive, helpful and very kind. The manager Kareen was exceptional throughout, was always available and facilitated every request from booking a motorbike or boat trip with a transfer to the pier included. It was such a pleasure returning to the hotel after a day out and also so tempting to stay at the property to enjoy its beauty. Breakfast, although not the most varied, was generous and delicious. Massages and a laundry service are available on-site. It had everything to make it one the best stays i have had in Thailand. ☹ I did not want to leave. It was really nice. It doesnt have a direct access to the beach but i think it was much better this way because it kept. At least for me. There are lots of beaches near enough.
☺Sehr schönes Hotel, sehr stylish und modern eingerichtet. Kleiner und sehr guter Spa, ich hatte dort die besten Behandlung in ganz Thailand! Das Essen in dem Restaurant/Bar "Funky Monkey" ist großartig, unter anderem ist das Sushi sehr zu empfehlen! Das Frühstück wird immer frisch zubereitet, es gibt genügend Auswahl und für mich ist die Portion mehr als üppig. Die Zimmer sind individuell und sehr schön ausgestattet, an den beiden Pools findet man immer eine Liege und kann die Zeit genießen und die Seele baumeln lassen. Das Personal ist immer gut gelaunt, super freundlich und so hilfsbereit! Fern ab vom Massentourismus, für mich das beste Hotel auf meiner Rundreise durch Thailand! Hier kann man richtig entspannen und die Zeit vergessen. Die Inhaber sind bodenständig und sehr freundlich und kümmern sich gerne um das Wohlergehen der Gäste!
Wunderschönes kleines Resort zum Entspannen ☺Eines der schönsten Hotels in denen ich bisher war! Rundum großartige Erfahrung, was schon damit anfing, dass ich mit Namensschild von Pier abgeholt wurde. Tolle große und helle Zimmer mit riesigen Bad, direkt am sehr sauberen und einladenden Pool gelegen (es gibt 2 Pools, wodurch auch immer genug Platz auf den Liegen war). Es lässt sich auf jeden Fall auch mal der ein oder andere Regentag gut im Resort verbringen. Das Personal ist unglaublich herzlich und zuvorkommend und nach 6 Nächten fühlte es sich fast wie eine kleine Familie an. Direkt in der Unterkunft kann man Roller mieten, um die Insel zu erkunden, Ausflüge (die Kayak Mangroven Tour ist zu empfehlen) und Massagen buchen (Traditionelle Thai Massage!). Auf Anfrage wurde sogar ein Fahrrad für mich fahrtauglich gemacht und zur Verfügung gestellt. Schön war, dass man beim Frühstück Auswahl bei den Getränken und zwischen Omelette und Spiegelei hatte. Zur Lage: das Resort hat zwar keinen direkten Strandzugang aber die schönsten Strände der Insel sind sowieso am besten mit dem Roller zu erreichen. Sehr ruhig aber viele leckere Restaurants, ein kleiner Supermarkt und eine Strandbar in Laufweite. Insgesamt eine sehr schöne Insel ohne Massentourismus. ☹Leider hatte ich bei mir im Zimmer ein Problem mit dem Warmwasser. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hat mehrmals versucht, es zu reparieren. Leider wurde das Wasser nach ein paar Sekunden immer wieder kalt, so dass ich leider nur kalt duschen und auch die schöne Badewanne nicht nutzen konnte. Bei der Hitze draußen für mich nicht allzu dramatisch, sollte aber in Ordnung gebracht werden. Beim Frühstück wären ein paar gesundere Optionen noch schön (Joghurt oder etwas Rohkost).
☺Sehr gepflegt und wunderschön. Die Lage mitten im Dschungel ist besonders. Auch die angebotene Massage im Hotel war sehr gut. Besonders gut hat uns auch das sehr freundliche und engagierte Personal gefallen.

Stunning, peaceful retreat with beautiful view :) ☺ We recently spent five nights at the Yao Bada Badoo Boutique Resort on Koh Yao Yai—and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay! Initially, we had only planned to stay for three nights, but the tranquility and charm of this place persuaded us to extend for two more nights. This new hotel with only a handful of exclusive rooms is an absolute gem, brimming with artful touches and thoughtful details. The resort features two pools and stylish common areas perfect for relaxing. The rooms are perfectly clean, offering stunning views of both the jungle and the sea. The service was exceptional; the owner and the team went above and beyond, always ready to assist with arranging motorbikes, excursions, transfers, and more. Just a short 150-meter walk from the hotel, there’s a pathway leading down to the beach. From there, we enjoyed long strolls along the shoreline, all the way to the northern tip of Laem Had Beach. The on-site dining was delicious, and there are several small cafes and restaurants within walking distance, giving us plenty of options to explore the local cuisine. And of course, we must mention the hotel’s white cat, Jonny, who was always around to greet us and was clearly adored by both guests and staff alike. Sons Bay became one of our favorite spots. If you go there, you should definitely stop at Baan suan na khok yor - the best smoothie bar on the island with a great view of nature. The owner is a very friendly old man who grows all the fruit in his menu himself. When we’re back in Thailand, we’ll definitely be booking another stay at this amazing place!

Arranged activities and services via the resort were awesome - Hong island trip in a private long-tail boat, Mangroves kayaking, a local tour to see the low-tide, scooter rental, in-house spa and restaurant. Very good Cons: The hot water was very tricky to handle.. it comes and goes as it pleases. I asked for one room to have a late check out and while the hotel was clearly not fully booked I was denied of it.)Excellent hotel Had a great stay at the hotel! Highly recommendWonderful What can I say, wonderful stay. We moved rooms after 1 day as the steps to the upper level rooms did not suit. Everything was completed with help and attention. The rooms are wonderful and a huge bathroom. Breakfast was served with grace and was really good. We had lunch and dinner on several occasions and the food was really good. The complimentary coffee in the afternoon was a nice extra. We used the hotel taxi service on many occasions and found the driver helpful and informative. We booked a private boat trip which included the evening sunset, great. We of course had massages on site and they were also of a high standard. My husband has a mobility issue and he said he felt safe and looked after without being intrusive. This was the stand out hotel on our trip of 5 hotels but even more we just loved this wonderful island. I was unsure and hesitated to book but please go for it you will not regret a minute.Disappointed It was expensive We expected the best. First, it is by the sea, however no beach, you need a scooter to get to a beach. Second, breakfast is minimal. Select a form fo eggs and get the same bowl of cucumber, vanilla yogurt, and sone fruit and coffee. Standard no real choice. Third, we had some coffee dropped on the bed sheet, they asked us to pay 1500 Thb. as a fine. We opposed and added to the bill only 400Thb. We left with a bitter taste.Good potential, but not quite a five-star experience Nice rooms but several issues during the stay We stayed four nights at Yao Bada Badoo on Koh Yao Yai in a Junior Suite. The room itself was large and the bathroom spacious as well. However, the room felt very dark as all windows face nearby high walls, so there is almost no natural daylight. During our stay we also experienced hot water issues on two of the four days. The problem was fixed quickly each time and the staff seemed to know exactly what to do, which made us wonder why it wasn’t solved permanently. Breakfast is fine in terms of quality, but if you stay more than one day it becomes quite repetitive. It is a fixed set menu with essentially the same items every day, with no buffet or real choice. The staff was friendly overall, especially the person who picked us up at the pier. One confusing point was the transportation arrangement. I had confirmed airport pickup and the speedboat connection in advance, but in the days leading up to the stay, the hotel kept reaching out with additional questions that were already part of the confirmation. In the end everything worked out, but the repeated messages made it quite stressful, as it was never fully clear whether the transport was actually arranged or not. Overall, the stay was okay. However, based on how the hotel presents itself and the price, we expected a smoother experience and a bit more attention to these details.**Far too expensive for the quality of the hotel** We booked a **4-day, 3-night stay**, and unfortunately the experience did not match the price at all. For a hotel charging "luxury rates", the staff seemed to lack basic hospitality training and service awareness. On the first day, instead of making us feel welcome, staff focused on explaining rules, penalties, and charges if anything in the room got dirty. It made us feel uncomfortable from the start and affected our ability to relax during the stay. This issue with staff behavior continued throughout our stay. For example, on our last night, we returned late in wet weather with our exhausted toddler. A staff member immediately asked what time we would be checking out the next day. I explained that I did not know the exact time yet, but she insisted on getting an answer right away. It felt unnecessary and inconsiderate, especially in that moment. This was also not the first time staff interrupted us with unnecessary questions. Other issues: 1. Breakfast was exactly the same every day, with only a few egg options. For the price, we expected much more variety and better quality. 2. The swimming pool had a bad smell. 3. The hotel is dated and does not look like the photos. It falls well short of **5-star standards**. 4. Cleanliness was below expectations. 5. The water heater was unstable. 6. The bidet spray (bum gun) barely worked due to very low water pressure. 7. There was no beach access, which was another major disappointment given the price and how the property is presented. Overall, the price is extremely high for this level of service and quality. We were very disappointed. We did not mind the price at first but after this experience, we genuinely do not feel it was worth it. For a similar price, we could have stayed elsewhere and received far better service and overall quality.Tolles, schönes Hotel - Empfehlung!!! Staying at this resort was a perfect addition to our wonderful vacation on the island!terrible experience first thing to say, that this hotel for my opinion is not 5 stars, but can be 2 or 3 stars, swimming pool was dirty and full of insects and seems they dont clean from long time, breakfast very poor, just 2 slices of bread, some industrial jam, 2 eggs at ur choice one choose of coffee or cappuccino, fruit, and 1 yougurt. the room is old and the floor full of dusty, and the type choosed “garden view” in reality they should call “wall view”, because have a full wall in the window, and up to this 3 meters wall can see little light with some plants or threes, the shower was without hot water and too much sleepery, that i almost fell down and almost broken my finger of hand for try to not fell down, accidentally we broken one glass full of wine, they ask firstly to pay the broken glass something unbelievable, they bring bill 120 bath, but i dont know why they ask 180 bath, but i paid the 120 as the bill, than when the glass fell down all the redwine was in bed and we accidentally stain duvet, pillow, pillow case and sheets, and of course they ask to pay for this, with a bill of 22000 bath, after a long discussion for close the case i gaved 100 usd, but of course they dont want listen reasons for my finger almost broken, theat i got so much swallowed. after all this adventure, we ask to send us to another hotel koh yao village ( a real 5 stars) and they send us with the hotel car ( we ask taxi but they told no taxi we will send by our car) and after they asked for 200bath for the transport. so first and very bad experience in this place. but fortunately we spend magnific days in real 5 stars hotel as koh yao village and santhiya. at cheaper price of them.Outstanding Property My wife and I stayed at Yao Bada Badoo for 6 nights and absolutely loved it. Our room was classy and beautifully appointed with high ceilings and modern fittings. The bathroom was a standout and the bed was so comfortable it was hard to get out of. This a good little boutique resort to chill and relax and to meet other travelers. The services are very good. Most rooms right on the 2 beautiful pools with very comfortable sun beds. Lovely walks from hotel and 50m from stunning beaches. The food in the restaurant/bar "Funky Monkey" is great, among other things the sushi is highly recommended! Breakfast is always freshly prepared, there is plenty of choice and for me the portion is more than sumptuous. The rooms are individually and very nicely equipped, at the two pools you will always find a lounger and can enjoy the time and relax. The staff is always in a good mood, super friendly and so helpful! Far away from mass tourism, for me the best hotel on my tour of Thailand! Here you can really relax and forget about time. The owners are down to earth and very friendly and happy to take care of the well-being of the guests!Excellent! Fabulous hotel. Rooms modern and well equipped- bathroom was huge. Spotless. Communication before visit was excellent- supplied me with ferry/ speedboat options. Offered free collection from pier. Staff are outstanding- always ready to go the extra mile- nothing too much trouble- and always with a big smile. This is the best service we have ever had including staying in some pretty ‘upmarket’ hotels.A perfect break My girlfriend and I spent 3 wonderful nights here during our tour. The hotel is beautiful and clean and you get every wish from the very warm staff. The island is very quiet and idyllic and absolutely worth a trip. Only at breakfast the selection could be a bit more varied - but that did not bother us at 3 nights.
